Тhe coach of Man City, Pep Guardiola has said that Erling Haaland could be ready to play against Fulham this weekend.

Injuries can’t make Haaland to skip games

Owing to a virus and a leg injury received during the scoreless draw at Dortmund previous week, the Norwegian forward missed Saturday’s victory (1:0) against Leicester City and was taken off at halftime. Pep made no mention of a comeback at the time, and it was anticipated that City’s goal scorer would skip the match against the Fulham.

But when he provided an update on Erling’s development prior to City’s last CL (Champions League) group match against Sevilla, the manager ruled out a comeback.

Haaland won’t be eligible for tomorrow, according to Guardiola. Pep said, that he doesn’t feel 100%, but feels better than on Saturday or Sunday. He also announced that they don’t wish to risk because doing so is absurd. Erling should be available for Fulham.

The fans, who’ve already witnessed the Norwegian player score 22 goals, will be pleased with the news. And City supporters will be expecting for a couple extra wins before he takes a month with only 4 matches left before the WC 2022.

Erling will be preparing for the visit to Leeds on December 28 on December while other PL players will be playing in temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees due to Norway’s failure to achieve World Cup 2022 qualification.

Manchester City’s struggle for the next stage in the Champions League

Wednesday’s dead rubber encounter between Manchester City and Sevilla will decide whether side moves on to the next phase of the competition. They may play FC Bruges/Porto of B group, Leverkusen/Inter Milan of C group, or Paris Saint-Germain/Benfica from H group while the opponents of the remaining group winners haven’t been decided yet.

Other candidates are the Tottenham group’s Marseille/Eintracht/Sporting; the Blues (Chelsea) group’s Salzburg/Milan; and either group F’s Shakhtar of Donetsk/Real Madrid FC/Leipzig. If Anfield’s team (Liverpool) defeats Napoli by four or even more unambiguous goals, City may also play them.

The final stage draw will take place on Monday, 7th of November.
