Manchester United proudly announced that its glorious foster-child Marcus Rashford received the September’s Player of the Month Award from the Premier League officials. The footballer is one of the best performers on the national squad and an instrumental element in the current Manchester United roster. He is a technical player with an excellent physique and outstanding career statistics with his 210 appearances for MU and 62 goals!

The series of great games from MR

The Reds were quite good in their outings against Leicester City and Arsenal. During the first match, Marcus Rashford put immense pressure on the Foxes and created a lot of space for other players to shine. His masterful pass to Jadon Sancho resulted in a beautiful assisted goal.

The match against Arsenal was way more eventful, but the player was very active and was involved in all three goals scored by the Reds that day. The new addition to the roster Antony stained the clean sheet of Aaron Ramsdale after a perfectly calculated pass from Rashford who then continued to score twice and sealing the deal for the team.

The performance of the player was more than just commendable thanks to his outstanding activity, immense pressing, and involvement in all four goals scored by his team during two very important matches.

In his interview with the team’s media department, he said that the beginning of the season was disheartening and the fact that the Reds capitalized on a chance to bounce back in the league was something that brought relief to Rashford. The player also added that he is feeling quite strong and can perform to the fullest which was shown vividly during his game against Arsenal.

Marcus Rashford deserves more attention

Many fans of Manchester United do not want to see this amazing player go. He is certainly a very talented forward, but it always feels like is not getting the recognition he deserves despite doing a lot for the Reds. The last time he received the PotM award was in January of 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
