Manchester United has recently made a bid offer for a former player from West Ham and Stoke. The sources confirmed that the player is Marko Arnautovic who the reds are trying to get onboard for the summer season.
£7.6 Million Bid Offered by Manchester United
Marko Arnautovic is a 33-year-old Austrian who is currently playing as a forward for Bologna. Prior to joining Bologna in 2021, Marko Arnautovic had joined Shanghai Port and prior to that, he was part of West Ham United.
At West Ham United, Marko Arnautovic played between 2017 and 2019. However, the longest tenure of the player’s career was at Stoke City where he played from 2013 to 2017.
At Stoke City, Marko Arnautovic had made 125 appearances and had scored 22 goals. As for West Ham United, the player made 59 appearances, scoring 21 goals.
At Bologna, the player his contract in 2021 and so far, he has made 33 appearances, scoring 14 goals. This shows that the player has been in very good form and is proving to be a skilled player in his old age.
It is no wonder why Manchester United is aiming to get their hands on Marko Arnautovic as they have offered a £7.6 million bid to acquire the player.
Manchester United is forming a Strong Squad
Erik ten Hag had recently made a public statement about what his plans are for the club. He stated that he wants to build a very strong squad and for this purpose, he has started signing players with skills and strong determination.
Strong Defense
Erik ten Hag started by building a strong defense and for this purpose, the boss has already signed Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez.
Strong Mid
As for the midfielders, Hag has already signed Eriksen for the summer season. Now, Hag is aiming to do the same for his weak front line, and for this purpose, he has approached Marko Arnautovic.
Attempts for Frontline Players
Apart from approaching Marko Arnautovic, Manchester United has also approached other players such as Benjamin Sesko from RB Salzburg. However, the club is finding it difficult to get their hands on these players.
The reason behind having a weak frontline is because of the uncertainties with Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at the club. Then it is Anthony Martial who has recently gotten injured, making the situation worse for the club.
This is the reason why Erik ten Hag is eager to bring Marko Arnautovic into the squad. With Marko Arnautovic on the team, they will have a highly experienced and senior player to boost the morale of other players.
Currently, there is no update from Bologne or Marko Arnautovic in regards to the club’s offer. The club may revert with an answer in the upcoming days.
